Hello to everyone taking this moment to read our story. We hope you are doing well and safe. My name is Isaiah. My family and I are going through a life crisis situation since we recently became homeless.
My mom has been a single mother for 18 years. She has worked without end for many years in Corporate America to take care of me.
Unfortunately, life has taken a turn with my mom's health. My mom became handicapped due to a medical diagnosis affecting her spine and both her knees; making it impossible for her to continue working. This causes chronic pain daily and serious mobility issues for our mom. Living with chronic pain also escalates her other health conditions.
Alexandra became apart of our family while we were in highschool. I met Alexandra in Middle School and she became my best friend. She had experienced the loss of her parents in her life. Her mother had passed away and her father had been deported prior to her moms passing. She was then moved into her Aunt and Uncle's home; where she was abused, emotionally, physically and mentally. However, after some occasions my mom and I spent around her Guardians; it became clear to us that she wasn't safe and needed a better home environment. My mom felt moved to immediately step in to help her by filing for Legal Guardianship of Alexandra. She wanted to be a mother figure to her and bless her with a family of strong faith in God, full of love, respect, compassion, and to ensure her safety and well-being. The Courts ruled in favor of my moms petition and granted my mom full Guardianship of Alexandra. Alexandra fit perfectly as a loving member of our family and she became my moms daughter and full responsibility.
We are fortunate to have each other as family. We need one another, and we take good care of each other. Alexandra and I help to manage our mom's Healthcare needs and getting around. My mom and I also share some of the same respiratory health issues. Having a caring and supportive family is so very important. I am currently a college student and Alexandra helps our mom daily with her medical needs.
We humbly ask for your help from those who may feel led in their hearts to support us by donating to our financial goal. This will help us obtain and maintain permanent housing. Your donations will also help with our daily food, medical supplies, and living essentials while we are trying to get housed and back on our feet.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. We appreciate your prayers and we will provide updates during this journey.
We love you with the love of Christ; and may God bless you and your families continously.
Kind Regards,
- Isaiah
