UPDATE: Just wanted to thank everyone that has help us get closer to our goals. We hired an attorney and had one court date . And have to return to court in September. Hi, my name is Denise, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brave niece, Katie—a loving mother of two young children—who is fighting to protect her family after escaping a physically and emotionally abusive relationship.

Katie, ex partner was convicted of domestic violence against her. She showed incredible courage in breaking free from that situation to safeguard her children’s well-being. Now, she’s facing an uphill battle in family court to keep her two children safe and secure . Her oldest child is nonverbal and on the autism spectrum, he requires specialized care and stability .

This legal fight is exhausting and expensive, and Katie urgently needs help covering:

• Legal representation to ensure her and her children’s protection

• Advocacy and services for her child with autism

• Emergency support for housing, therapy, and day-to-day needs
