My name is Amy Boulet, but first of all, I'm a mother, a cancer survivor, and I recently left a domestic abuse situation. My daughter and I are currently homeless, and I need your help to make a move to North Carolina and put a roof over our heads.

I have had a very rough couple of years. I had a mastectomy for breast cancer just before Christmas 2023, and it was determined that I needed chemo based on my onco score, which was very high at 52. So, my oncologist recommended four rounds of TC chemo, which I finished at the end of June 2024. Through all of this, I was working two jobs. I do Instacart during the day, and I work at UPS in the evening, only taking off the day of my treatment and the day after because no matter what was happening to me, my daughter still needed a roof over her head. Her father watched her during the night while I was at work, but he refused to get a job, so all the responsibilities and bills were on me. Later, I would find out that he was stealing from me, credit cards, cash and car, lying, cheating, and doing drugs. I used many local resources to get us through to this year, but on March 1st, my birthday in 2025, we lost our rental house.

Last minute, his grandmother allowed us to stay at her home, which I was very grateful for, but the situation was less than ideal. The house had a leaky roof, rats, black mold, bed bugs, and stray cats everywhere, and it was very unsanitary. And the situation with my now ex got worse.

On May 17th, after finding out a lot of truths, a blowout argument, and threats, I took my daughter and my pets, and we left to a pet-friendly hotel where we stayed for a little over two weeks until my money almost ran out.

My daughter was taken to North Carolina to spend the summer with my parents so I could try to gather up money to move up there where all my family is and put in a transfer for my job at UPS. I can't quit; I need my insurance due to my cancer situation, and my pets are currently in amazing foster homes.

When I came back from dropping her off, I was truly homeless and slept in my car in the parking lot of my work. I had a lot of friends reach out to me and offer help, and one of them graciously took me in. I get up at 6:00 in the morning, and I'm at Publix by the time they open to do my Instacart, and I go and start UPS at 6:00 p.m. Sometimes I don't even get a break in between.

My ex stole and jacked up my credit card. Plus, as I said, when I was going through my cancer ordeal, he wasn't working, and the bills still needed to be paid, so I'm still making the payments on those, trying to get them paid down so I look more appealing for when I do get a place to rent and boost my credit score.

I am trying so hard to save up and pay this and that so that when my transfer comes in, I can rent a place up in North Carolina and give my daughter the life she deserves. It seems no matter how hard I try, something happens, goes wrong, or needs to be done.

Florida is a tough state and definitely not one for single mothers trying to make it on their own. I've tried and tried and tried, but I am getting nowhere. Please help me raise money so I can afford the first, last, and security, electric, water, and to rent a U-Haul and gas up there when my transfer comes.

Throughout this ordeal, I have found out that there are so many gracious people out there, whether it is to give you kind words, a helping hand, or a little financial aid to get you through the day. I can't do this on my own. Please help us.
Update: My transfer came in. I start work at Mebane UPS on August 4th. Please help so I can put a roof over my baby girl's head.
