Hello, my name is Maria, and I am proud to be part of Fundación Pequeños Pasos, Grandes Milagros, a growing nonprofit organization in Colombia dedicated to giving the tiniest and most vulnerable patients—the babies of our Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs)—a fighting chance at life.

Our foundation focuses on supporting the growth and development of premature babies, infants with chronic medical conditions, and their families. We provide essential items like specialized nutrition, medical supplies, developmental tools, parent education, and psychosocial support—resources that are often difficult to access in under-resourced settings.

Why This Matters

Every baby deserves the opportunity not just to survive but to thrive. Yet in many Colombian hospitals, especially in underserved regions, NICU families face overwhelming challenges: limited equipment, lack of transportation for follow-up care, and little support for emotional well-being. Pequeños Pasos, Grandes Milagros steps in to close these gaps—hand in hand with hospital staff, local partners, and volunteers—so that families aren’t alone during their hardest moments.
