Donate to Save Hossam's Family in Gaza

Welcome everyone, my name is Yazmin in the US and I am helping Hossam and his family. Here is their story...

I am Hossam from Gaza City, 28 years old. My family and I are currently facing starvation in Al-Mawasi camp, Gaza and I am reaching out to you my brothers and sisters, to stand by us to survive. Funds received are used to buy food, medicines, clean water, clothing and firewood. Any additional funds raised will be allocated towards covering the visa costs required for evacuation to Egypt once the crossing reopens. The current cost is $5,000 Euros per person. A bit about our situation...

My family of four lived a simple life in a small house before the war. I was the breadwinner, working as a car driver, and took care of my mother and two younger sisters. We always thanked God for everything.

Our lives changed forever on October 7. We were shocked by the war’s cruelty and hoped it would end quickly. However, we were forced to evacuate our home and sought refuge at Al-Shifa Medical Hospital for about 30 days, believing it was safe. Unfortunately, the hospital was surrounded, and we had to flee on foot to Khan Yunis, joining thousands of other displaced people. After much struggle, we got a tent and stayed there for three months.

During our time in Khan Yunis, we received the devastating news that my married sister in Gaza City was killed, and our house was bombed and completely destroyed, along with my car, which was our only source of income. We were forced to flee again on foot to Rafah, losing our belongings each time due to lack of transportation.

In Rafah, we got another tent but had to flee once more to Mawasi camp, where we now live in overcrowded conditions without proper sanitation or clean water and constantly fearing bombardment. I suffered a broken leg from a nearby bombing in Rafah, along with bouts of dehydration and hepatitis. Despite these hardships, God protected me each time.

Now, we face starvation and disease, with scarcity and very expensive food. It costs us the equivalent of over $100 USD to buy food, bottled water, and firewood, allowing for only one meal a day. Without help, we will surely starve.

My family members include Mother Rana - 49 yrs, Sister Dina - 21 yrs, and Sister Malak - 17 yrs.
