Hi, my name is Rachel and I’m raising money for my little brother, Richie, who is 22.

Over the last year, Richie and his mom were homeless, sleeping in their car and on friends' couches, before they were finally able to get an apartment together. A few months later, his mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer and she passed away on November 4th.

Since then, Richie has been staying with my mom in Dracut and trying to get his life on track. He doesn’t have a car, so his e-bike was his only way to get to the gym, job interviews, stores, and appointments. He saved up over months to buy that e-bike for about $1,500.

A few days ago, he rode it to Planet Fitness in Dracut, parked it where he always does, and went inside to work out. Within about two minutes of him walking in, someone stole the bike. The gym and police reviewed the cameras and confirmed it was taken.

That bike was his independence. Without it, it’s much harder for him to get to work, the gym, and keep moving forward after everything that’s happened.

We’re asking for help so Richie can replace his e-bike and stay on the right path. The goal is set at $1,500 because that’s what the original bike cost and what it will take to replace it. The funds will go toward a reliable replacement e-bike and a heavy-duty lock so this doesn’t happen again.
