My name is Fred Baer, and I’m asking for your help for a family in Argentina that is very dear to me. Last month , they lost their father — the heart and pillar of their home. His passing left not only a hole in their hearts but also in their ability to provide for themselves.

They are doing everything they can to carry on by running a small, home-based business selling empanadas and pizzas. It’s honest, hard work, but with Argentina’s economy in crisis, they’re barely surviving. Some weeks they only get one or two orders. Their kitchen equipment is old and breaking down, and without the means to replace it, they can’t grow or even keep up when they do get lucky and numerous orders, come in.

I’ve been helping them as much as I can, but the truth is — they need more than I can give alone. That’s why I’m reaching out with this campaign.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in their lives. It will help them:

• Replace essential kitchen equipment

• Keep food on the table during this difficult time

• Rebuild their small business so they can support themselves with dignity

• And help with a vehicle and or some kind of transportation

I visited them last November, and I’ll be returning again this November. I’ve seen firsthand their strength, their love for each other, and how hard they’re fighting to keep going. They don’t want a handout — they just need a little help to stand back up after such a devastating loss.
