Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to support those who have been profoundly impacted by Hurricane Melissa in my grandmother's parish in Jamaica. This devastating storm made landfall on October 28, 2025, with winds howling at 185 MPH, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Many families friends and others in the in the towns of Balaclava and Marlborough, St. Elizabeth, are facing unimaginable hardships as they grapple with the loss of their roofs, homes, livestock, and cherished belongings. The situation is dire, and the community is in desperate need of our help.
As someone who hails from this beautiful island and now resides in the United States, I am deeply committed to rallying support for my family, friends, and countless others who have been affected by this tragedy. Your generous contributions will make a significant difference, allowing us to repair homes, replace roofing and windows, and provide essential items that have been lost.
I humbly invite you to consider donating whatever you can. Every little bit helps and embodies the spirit of compassion and solidarity that we can extend to our fellow human beings during this trying time.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Warm regards,
Nadine
