My name is Cecilia. I'm an elderly lady who was recently widowed & left w/out ANY life insurance, pensions or anything. I just lost my food benefits also. I have no idea how I'm going to eat. I'm begging for help from anyone & any amount.
I've worked hard my whole life & took excellent care of my late husband. I fell a few yrs ago & broke my hip. He failed to take me to the hospital. Stuck on the couch, only able to defecate in a bucket in the living room for 2 years, I watched helplessly as he let everything go.
I finally got surgery, but still physically unable to do much. My husband had been sick for many years. By the time he saw a Dr, he was in Stage 4 of several cancers. The chemo was useless. He died after 3 treatments.
We had an old rusty van w/out insurance. I wasn't well enough to drive, but had to take care of him, so I drove it & smashed it. Had to pay to have it towed away.
So, no car, no $, very old dilapidated house that's in foreclosure, the central air died, yard's so bad I'm getting tickets. I have 1 child who's not in good health herself, so she can only do so much. She makes calls, watches out for me & is helping me do this. Hopefully I can make my crumbling porch safe, get a new AC before next summer (windows are rotten & cannot support window units), stop foreclosure & get yard cleaned up.
Posted on some FB groups. Nothing but scammers. Signed up for programs for seniors, but they're new & only accept so many. No idea if I'll be accepted, the kind of help I'll get or when it'll happen.
ANY help will be humbly appreciated.
UPDATE: habitat 4 humanity came out & did absolutely nothing
