Help Marion Mother Restore Damaged Home For Her Children

A young woman in the Marion, IN community is living in a home in great need of significant repair. She is the mother of two who live in the home with her, one of whom is a young boy with learning difficulties that place great stress on her time, energy, and resources. Her husband recently has had to leave the home, but before he left, he left the home a state of extreme chaos and disrepair. Though she has worked hard to provide a safe and livable home for her children, due to life circumstances, this woman is at the end of her financial and emotional resources and is in great need of financial assistance to address the home projects (listed below) that would give her and her children the basic quality of life they need to live peacefully.

A group of students from Taylor University in Upland, IN is looking for $560 by this Saturday (9/21) to hire a Dumpster so they can clean up the immense amount of junk that has accumulated at and around her home and present dangers for her son who wishes to play in the yard. However, they are also hoping for a total of $10,000 to address:

- a collapsing roof

- ceiling leaks all throughout the home

- flooring and a new refrigerator (to replace an old one) for the living space

- broken windows

- a fence for safety

- and other projects that she needs to make her home as livable as possible!
