Since Thanksgiving 2022 and at only 18 years old, Taliq was incarcerated on Riker's Island waiting for a trial to set the record straight. It took two years before that trial occurred but finally, on October 25, 2024, Taliq was acquitted and set free.

We owe a big part of Taliq's return to his lawyer (Jason Goldman) and currently need community support as we navigate debt from associated legal fees.

In addition to legal fees, we are now navigating higher costs as we rehabilitate Taliq into society (this looks like mental health support, mentorship programs, living expenses, and more).
