Donate to Rebuild Badia Garibaldi's Healing Space

Hi, we are organizing this fundraiser for my dear friend, Badia Girabaldi.

Two years ago, Badia was diagnosed with heart failure—a life-changing condition. Despite her strength and resilience, her condition worsened in September, leading to severe complications. To save her life, doctors implanted a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), a mechanical heart pump that helps her heart circulate blood.

The LVAD is a temporary solution, and Badia will still need a heart transplant in the future. As she focuses on recovery and prepares for this next major step, she deserves a safe and comfortable home where she can heal and regain strength.

Why We Need Your Help:

Before her diagnosis, Badia was in the process of renovating her home. Now, unable to work due to her condition, her home has been left unfinished and uninhabitable. She is currently staying with family but dreams of returning to her own space—a place where she can feel independent and at peace. The funds raised will go directly to:

1. Labor Costs

General contractor and skilled labor for installation (flooring, cabinets, appliances, windows, etc.).

Estimate: $8,000

2. Flooring

Material (laminate, vinyl, or hardwood) and installation for approximately 1,000 square feet.

Estimate: $4,000

3. Kitchen Countertops

Material (granite, quartz, or butcher block) and installation.

Estimate: $3,000

4. Kitchen Cabinets

Pre-made cabinets (cheaper option) or custom cabinets for a small to mid-sized kitchen.

Estimate: $3,000

5. Appliances

Stove: $700

Dishwasher: $500

Washer and Dryer: $1,200

Sink: $300

Subtotal for Appliances: $2,700

6. Bathroom Vanity

Vanity with sink and faucet installation.

Estimate: $500

7. Bedroom Windows

Two energy-efficient replacement windows, including materials and installation.

Estimate: $2,500

8. Security Doors

Front and back doors with locks for added safety.

Estimate: $1,300
