Hey everyone, I’m Michael Roger, a 20-year Army veteran living in St Pete, FL, reaching out to support a fellow vet who lost everything during Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Living along the Florida coast is expensive. Many stretch their military pensions by residing on boats, especially if they want to remain in Tampa Bay and continue serving the veteran community. My friend’s boat is his only home, not a luxury. What most don’t realize is that boat insurance doesn’t cover hurricanes, and towing a boat from the mud can cost over $10,000.

Hurricane Helene beached his boat with its surge, and then Hurricane Milton flooded it since it couldn’t be moved. This campaign aims to raise $20,000 to help this veteran tow his boat back to the water and replace the electronics. He can handle the rest himself. We just want to support a guy whose livelihood depends on his boat.
