Help us make our Caledonia Food Co-op a REALITY!
IT’S UP TO US
The Caledonia Food Co-op has been preparing for this moment for more than five years. More than 50 board members have participated, along the way.
NOW, we have secured a purchase agreement on the perfect co-op store site in St. Johnsbury — the former Walgreens building at 502 Railroad Street.
852 FAMILIES ARE ALREADY ON BOARD
Now we need YOU to join us – and the more than 850 member-owners to complete the purchase of the building and bring the Caledonia Food Co-op to life as a powerful and enduring force in our community.
The Co-op will bring organic and conventional food, a dedicated market for local farmers and food producers, and an anchor store to help build critical mass for St. Johnsbury's revitalized downtown.
Community response has been phenomenal! We have raised more than $500,000 in just a few months, including significant Town government support.
PLEASE DONATE NOW!
We need to raise another $1.3 million in local support by April 1, 2024 to purchase the building.
Every donation counts – and is deeply appreciated.
A DONATION OF $100 or more will buy you a voting membership in the Caledonia Food Co-op. As a member, you will receive regular updates, invitations and special events.
WE ALSO NEED INVESTORS
IF YOU CAN INVEST $1,000 OR MORE, we are now seeking crucial people to purchase Preferred Stock shares that will secure the purchase of our building – and pay out a dividend over time; please click on the Contact link below and send us a message requesting the offering package.
The Caledonia Food Co-op will join co-ops in Littleton, Montpelier, Hardwick, Hanover and across New England and the nation - re-energizing and transforming downtowns.
