Donate to Provide Felicia with a Handicapped Van
Donation protected
Felicia wood, called sissy by her family, was born July 8th 1992. Felicia had a twin who died an hour after birth. Just 3 days later Felicia had to have open heart surgery. Felicia has cerebral palsy and is a quadriplegic. Felicia has been in a wheelchair all of her life, 100% dependent on the care of others. Felicia currently resides with our grandparents, she has been with them for about 20 years. When Felicia first began living with our grandparents she had to have life saving back surgery, Felicia's spine was nearly at a 90 degree angle, this was from her inability to build muscle. Felicia couldn't hold her body up straight so she often would fall to the side and have to be pushed back up, it was due to neglect. Felicia was often cared for by her little sister, my sister Felicia was 12 years old, and my little sister was 9 years old when she started to help take care of Felicia. Currently Felicia has been without transportation for months and needs a handicapped accessible van, so that she can get out of the house once in a while and get to doctors appointments. Felicia loves to go out in public and be around other people. She needs a van with a power lift on it for her wheelchair, as it is much too heavy for anyone to pick up.
I would like to get Felicia a handicapped van that is reliable and will last for a long time. I'm asking for anyone who can donate whatever they can to help my sister! there a many different vans we have looked at and are open minded! we need to get her to and from appointments safely!
