Hello! My name is Kernelly. Some of my family are from the island of Cebu, and just a couple of weeks ago, my cousin Bianca and I created a GoFundMe on her page, which was able to help victims of an earthquake with a 6.7 magnitude.
On November 2, 2025, Cebu was hit by a tropical cyclone Kalmaegi (local name: Tino), which quickly intensified into a typhoon, triggering massive flooding and flash floods resulting in over 210 fatalities, with over 100 still missing. A total of 155,400 houses were reported damaged, out of which 20,500 could not be salvaged and were totally destroyed.
This GoFundMe is made to help raise funds to support the victims in Cebu, especially in the province of Balamban, which has affected many low-income families in the area by Typhoon “Tino.” These funds will go toward getting basic necessities — hygiene kits, food, water, and blankets.
For those wondering, these donations will be sent directly to someone we entrust who is organizing the supply of essentials and distributing them to affected neighborhoods and communities in Balamban. We will provide updates and photos to show how donations are being used.
Filipinos are striving to take it one day at a time, building what was lost or taken from them from such recent calamities — we want to reach out a hand for them to know that we are with them too, even in the smallest of ways. Any amount is greatly appreciated as it will help families recover from this natural disaster and give them hope! Sharing this also helps us spread the word.
Thank you for your time, donations, and help!
