Maher Ardat has been a dedicated and influential member of UHG for over 20 years, most recently leading the Government Programs Contact Center Technology team at Optum. Known for his leadership, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his work and family, Maher is now courageously facing an unexpected and challenging battle.

Recently, Maher was diagnosed with a very aggressive and rare form of lung cancer that has unfortunately spread to his liver. Although the cancer was detected within a few months of its onset, its aggressive nature required immediate treatment. Maher has begun chemotherapy and immunotherapy at the Mayo Clinic, taking on a rigorous regimen to fight this disease.

This diagnosis has taken Maher and his family by surprise, thrusting them into a difficult and urgent journey toward treatment and recovery.
