Hello, my name is Lisa, and my story is one I wish I didn’t have to share. It’s easier to believe the lies that have been told about my situation, but today I want to share the truth. I was married for nearly 10 years to a man who, on the outside, seemed charming and loving but was truly a monster. He was cunning, manipulative, and had the ability to hide his true nature from everyone around us.

I tried to leave him several times, but each time, I felt trapped by his control. Finally, after years of enduring abuse, I managed to break free. But what I didn’t realize was the financial toll it would take on me and my two boys.

It’s hard to say this out loud, but I am a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault. The man who was supposed to love and cherish me instead broke me down, slowly changing me into someone I didn’t recognize. His manipulation and abuse made me feel small, powerless, and trapped for far too long.

For the past two years, I’ve been fighting him in court. Not just to prove what he did to me, but to protect my two boys from the same fate. Unfortunately, the cost of this battle has been overwhelming. The legal fees are piling up, and now I’m facing the possibility of losing my car just to keep paying the attorney fees. I’ve been forced to put bills on credit cards just to survive and continue the fight.

I’m reaching out for help because I simply can’t do this alone anymore. The financial strain is unbearable, and I need your support to continue this fight and to keep moving forward. The funds I raise will go toward my legal expenses, car payments, and the debt I’ve accumulated just to survive this fight.
