I am posting this GoFundMe on behalf of a coworker, Lisa Cleveland. Lisa is an incredibly kind, funny and caring coworker. She works so hard, pulling many doubles, working long hours multiple days a week. Unfortunately, she has been unable to work for months now, as her son is in the hospital out of state, with a progressive and fatal illness, Dyskeratosis Congenita. Lisa had another son pass from this same disease years ago when he was just a child. During the time he has been in the hospital, Lisa has been with him also caring for his three year old daughter. While out of state, Lisa got into an accident and totaled her car. She is being flooded with medical bills as well as living expenses, but has not been able to work for months, though she has taken on full care for her son and granddaughter. Most recently, Lisa’s boyfriend was life-flighted to the ICU for diabetic ketoacidosis. Though no one deserves to go through things such as these, Lisa is one of the kindest, most hard working and caring people we know here on our unit. We have tried assisting Lisa with financial assistance over the months, but the situation has only gotten worse, so we have decided to reach out to the general public, in hopes some of you may be able to donate to her and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation is helpful, as it could feed her and her granddaughter for the day, or pay for treatments and bills that are piling up. Thank you!
