In May of 2025, my uncle and godfather, Steve Potter, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia or AML. Given there is no cure for AML, over the course of the past 4-5 months, he has been tirelessly fighting this disease with the support of family and friends. My uncle is one of the strongest people I know, finding humor and positivity even in the darkest of times. He is beloved by all and his personality, sense of humor and spirit for life are infectious.

He has dedicated his life to helping others as a social worker up in Anchorage, Alaska and he is a devoted father, friend, husband, and son.
