Helping My Mom Keep Her Job and Our Life Moving
Hi, my name is Lauramae. I’m 17, and I’m reaching out because my mom—who is the strongest, most selfless woman I know—is in a really hard spot right now.
She’s been driving an older van that she feels so grateful for. It helped her get me to my private school and allowed her to keep her job, even though it’s meant long commutes and hours on the road. But now, the van needs serious repairs—$3,000 or more—and it might also have transmission problems. The AC no longer works, and the back brakes are out. The mechanic told us it might only last another week.
My mom works full-time supporting people with disabilities, and without a working car, she could lose her job. She found a car lot willing to work with her, but they need $3,000-$6,000 as a down payment to move forward. We don’t have that kind of money, but I believe in miracles—and I believe in my mom.
The Bible says,
> "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." – Galatians 6:2
We’re holding onto faith, trusting that help will come.
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." – Philippians 4:19
If you feel led to help through donations, prayers, or sharing this with others, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for reading and caring.
With love,
Lauramae
