"My name is Kendy Flores Coronado. I want to thank you for taking the time to read my family’s story. I started this fundraiser to help cover the costs of my father’s immigration lawyers. My family has been living in this country for around 12 years. They’re all very hardworking people and have never had any trouble with the law. My parents have their driver’s licenses, and their cars are insured. For about six years, they’ve been paying their taxes. On the early morning of February 28, 2025, everything changed for my family. ICE agents disguised in civilian cars raided my dad’s workplace, and he was taken to a detention facility. We were luckily able to get into contact with an immigration lawyer agency, and with their help, he was released on bail. What comes next is fighting to cancel the order of deportation, which will be decided on May 19, 2025.

Unfortunately, he is not allowed to return to work until he is given a work authorization permit. I have been the one supporting my family for the time being, but it’s only been enough to cover rent and bills. The money received will be used to cover the costs of my father’s immigration process. The main priority is to have a lawyer attending alongside him at the court hearing. If you’re unable to donate, that’s completely understandable. You may also support the fundraiser by spreading the word to your friends and family. Any kind of support from the community is deeply appreciated."

"Mi nombre es Kendy Flores Coronado, quiero darle las gracias por tomarse el tiempo de leer la historia de mi familia. Comencé esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar a cubrir los costos de los abogados de inmigración de mi padre. Mi familia ha estado viviendo en este país durante unos 12 años. Todos son personas muy trabajadoras y nunca han tenido ningún problema con la ley, mis padres tienen sus licencias de conducir y los coches están asegurados. Durante unos seis años han estado pagando sus impuestos. En la madrugada del 28 de febrero de 2025, todo cambió para mi familia, agentes de ICE, en automóviles para civiles allanaron el lugar de trabajo de mi padre y lo llevaron a un centro de detención.

Afortunadamente, pudimos ponernos en contacto con una agencia de abogados de inmigración, y con su ayuda fue liberado bajo fianza.
