15 Years of Ecstatic Dance — Support Wendy Keep the Dance Moving!

For the last 15 years, every Tuesday in Nevada City, Wendy has shown up—rain or shine, tired or inspired—with a deep devotion to movement, music, and community. She is the quiet force behind the scenes and the heart at the center of our beloved weekly Ecstatic Dance practice.

August 19th marks 15 incredible years of this ongoing offering. That’s 780+ Tuesdays! A legacy of movement as medicine. A container where thousands of bodies have danced, processed, grieved, connected, played, and healed.

And now, let’s support Wendy!

The dance van that has faithfully carried the entire dance world week after week—stretch mats, lighting, sacred altar items, deco, pillows, carpets, tea table, and more—is inching closer to the end of its road. This van is not just Wendy's, it is a community vessel, a mobile temple, the unseen but essential player in this shared ritual.

We are raising $15,555 to purchase a new (or new-to-us), reliable van so that Wendy and her faithful volunteers can continue to bring this sacred offering to life each and every week. The funds will go directly toward finding a trustworthy vehicle that can support the unique needs of this production—from loading and storage to reliable transportation and setup.

This is more than a van—it’s a lifeline of the dance.
