KC Anderson and his Family Need Our Support!
To know KC is to know a man that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, well now he needs yours.
Just two weeks ago, KC & his family's lives were turned upside down. KC began experiencing concerning symptoms that led him to seek medical attention. After several appointments and scans, he received the devastating news: he had two brain tumors.
Only two days later, KC was admitted to UC Hospital for monitoring. His condition quickly worsened, and he was transferred to the ICU. Doctors had to place a drain in his head to manage the pressure on his brain.
On Tuesday, October 14th, KC underwent surgery to remove the larger of the two tumors. While the surgery was successful in removing the single tumor, the doctors will still have to put a plan in place for the smaller tumor that is inoperable. One day after being released to a physical therapy facility (10/21), KC is headed back to UC Health to have a Lumbar Puncture, as the pressure & fluid have continued to build.
Throughout all of this, Jamie—KC’s wife and the mother of their three children—has been doing everything she can to hold things together. She’s been by KC’s side at the hospital during the day, and juggling the kids’ routines, school, and activities in the evenings.
While everything is still early in the process, these major medical procedures/expenses, time off from work for both KC & Jamie, and general assistance to the family could use our help. If you are able to donate anything, it all goes a long way to help soften what will be a long road to recovery.
