On Saturday, August 2, my baby sister, Kayce Duke, was struck while crossing the street by a car speeding in excess of 30 mph. She sustained a concussion from striking the windshield and then being thrown into the air and into the intersection. She has extensive injuries to the left side of her body, including her hands, arms, legs, and face. Thankfully, no internal damage. Praises lifted that she is alive and recovering at home with our mom and her son Liam. Kayce is a gifted, accomplished massage therapist - she needs her body to do her work. She has a road of recovery, therapy, and additional imaging ahead before she can resume her work at the Ritz and her recently established practice, NuBody Massage. As of now, she is unable to work and it's not clear when she will be able to resume life 100%. Stay tuned for updates.
