Our Mission: Feeding Our Community With Love
Hi, I’m James — proud owner of the Karlton Cafe and even prouder member of this amazing community.
When we learned that the SNAP benefit pause would impact families right here in our town, we knew we couldn’t just stand by. Food should never be a luxury — especially for children. So, we made a simple decision:
✅ Any kid or adult struggling with food insecurity can walk into the Karlton Cafe and eat a nutritious meal for free. No questions asked. No judgment. Just nourishment.
We started this initiative expecting nothing in return…
But on our very first day, something beautiful happened — people in our community immediately asked how they could help. Guests began offering donations so that more families could sit down to a meal they may not otherwise have.
It reminded us that kindness is contagious. That compassion grows when shared.
⸻
Your contribution will:
Help us continue providing free meals to those experiencing food insecurity
Cover food costs as demand grows
❤️ Ensure our staff and restaurant stay supported while giving back
Help families feel seen, valued, and cared for during a difficult time
⸻
Community Takes Care of Community
We believe that a warm meal can restore more than hunger — it can restore hope.
If you’re able to give, no matter the amount, your generosity will directly feed a neighbor in need. And if you can’t donate, sharing our story makes just as big of an impact.
Thank you for helping us be a place where everyone has a seat at the table.
With gratitude,
James & Brittany
