Hello everyone,

This is Karina Herrera. She was in a horrible car accident early Sunday morning while driving back to college in Lubbock, Texas, where she attends Texas Tech University.

Karina is currently in the ICU in Lubbock after undergoing emergency spinal surgery. She now faces a long road to recovery, including physical therapy to learn how to walk again.

Karina is an independent college student who recently bought her own car, paying for it herself by working long hours at Sonic. Sadly, she has now lost that car and is four hours away from home, facing medical bills while trying to continue her nursing education.

At just 18 years old, Karina graduated top of her class from Gainesville High School’s Class of 2025. She has always worked hard toward her dreams, and now she needs our help more than ever.
