We are raising money for Joe Schnieder, a hard-working father who had an unfortunate health emergency this past week. On Saturday, 11/1, Joe began having pain in his right leg and went to the emergency room. He was told he was having a severe charley horse. Several days later, the pain never improved, and by Friday, 11/7, it was unbearable. Jake, his son, took him back to the emergency room where he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his right leg. There was only 35% blood flow being delivered to his right foot, and there was no pulse in his foot. They performed emergency surgery to remove the blood clot. After surgery, Joe was still in severe pain, and there was only a faint pulse in his foot. That same night, he had to go back into another emergency surgery to perform a fasciotomy, where they cut his leg fascia and muscle open to relieve pressure to hopefully allow his leg to properly heal. He will be undergoing his last surgery in a couple of days to close his leg back up and begin his healing journey.

This was obviously very unexpected, and if you know Joe, you know how hard of a worker he is and how he would give his shirt off his back to help anybody. He works as an independent contractor and installs doors with his son Jake year-round. Joe works hard to provide for not only himself but his family as well. Joe has a son with cerebral palsy that requires special attention, and he helps out financially. Please, if you are able to help Joe by sharing this post or donating, we would greatly appreciate it! We are hoping to help Joe relax during his recovery and not stress financially about his rent or providing for his family during this difficult time.
