Donate to Jake McKinney's Long Journey Back

I've never done one of these before, but this feels necessary. My dear friend, business partner, and brother, John McKinney, is in the midst of tragedy. His only son, Jake (John and Jake are the middle two), is in the fight of his life.

Jake and his friend Brian were driving in NC when they were hit head-on by an impatient driver trying to pass.

Jake is the only survivor. He broke his jaw, ribs, wrist, forearm, femur, tibia, ankle, kneecap, heel, and suffered internal injuries from the seatbelt. Sadly, Jake has suffered brain trauma from the accident and then a subsequent stroke. It is unclear the impact this will have until Jake wakes up, which may be a little while. For sure, there will be a new normal at the McKinney home as it will be a long road back for Jake.

Most importantly, pray for Jake, John, Nancy, and Brooke, but also consider giving. There will be expenses we haven't even thought of and stuff insurance doesn't cover.
