INTECH: Empowering Kids with Disabilities

At INTECH, we’re on a mission to transform the lives of children with intellectual disabilities in India through innovative and inclusive technology. Our project focuses on using motion-sensing tools to improve mobility and foster social connections in ways that were previously out of reach.

Currently, we’re leveraging the Wii Sport as a powerful, motivating tool, encouraging children to move, play, and interact in an accessible, engaging environment.

With each game played, we’re witnessing remarkable progress across five developmental areas: locomotion, manipulation, perception, balance, and attention span. But, the impact goes far beyond these measures.

We’ve seen improvements in cognitive, communication, and social skills, as these children experience the joy of sports, many for the very first time. These moments' joy, confidence, and sense of inclusion are unparalleled.

To continue and expand our impact, we aim to raise $3,750 to purchase 50 Wii consoles. The price of one used Wii is $75, which will be shared and used by a dozen kids.
