Donate to improve living conditions for a family in Bolivia

My name is Horacio Quiroga and I am raising funds to send to an impoverished family from my native country, Bolivia. This money will be used to build a humane and dignified bathroom, with the long-term goal of sending more for the construction of a safe and comfortable living structure.

This family is living in the most dire conditions. Doña Santa takes care and is responsible for providing for her 12 small grandchildren. These grandchildren were born to her two daughters, one of whom has passed away. None of the fathers are in the picture.

I was able to meet them this past summer during a service trip, and was deeply touched by the situation they were in. I brought them groceries and I cannot forget Doña Santa's words: “God bless you, if you had not brought these, we would have had nothing to eat for weeks.” I was also moved by the grandchildren’s faith and joy despite their situation. One of the children asked if we could pray to give thanks for the food they had received. It was in that moment that I realized I could do more, and this family deserves it.
