10 Years Ago, He Swabbed. This Summer, He’ll Save a Life.
This is Nathan and Sydney. Nathan is a teacher and basketball coach at Bellaire High School. Ten years ago, he joined the Be The Match registry (now NMDP (https://nmdp.org)) with a simple cheek swab in hopes of matching with a friend in need.
Now, a decade later, he got the call: he’s the perfect match for someone in need of a life-saving blood stem cell transplant.
Over the last month, he’s gone through tests, consultations, and screenings. Later this summer, he and Sydney will travel out of state so Nathan can donate to give someone the opportunity of more life.
To honor this incredible act, we’ve set up a small GoFundMe to give back:
50% will go to NMDP, the global nonprofit that made this match possible
50% will go to Community Coffee & Tea, a local nonprofit close to Nathan and Sydney’s heart.
Whether we raise $200 or $2,000, it will be a blessing.
Want to help?
✔️ Donate if you feel led
✔️ Most importantly, consider joining the NMDP registry at NMDP.org (https://nmdp.org) — you could be someone’s match, too
