I'm raising money to support people in need (cash assistance, aiding with groceries, gas, clothes, hygiene products, etc. ) and so much more!

My name is Mi-shael Taylor I am a medical social worker, psychotherapist and new community organizer and proud community member from Grand Rapids, MI now based in Detroit, MI. I recently completed a virtual grief and mutual aid cohort, for frontline workers facilitated by Reframe Health & Justice Consulting. I received great care and support from my cohort members and facilitator, and gained great insight about mutual aid programming. We all received a stipend, that I decided to put ($500) towards mutual aid, to pay it foward and help othes in need.

That's where Holistic Hues Mutual Aid was born!!!

Our Mission:

Holistic Hues Mutual Aid is a mutual aid initiative rooted in principles of collective, compassionate care, social justice, and the dignity of the people. We provide care and direct and tangible resources that center Black, Brown, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ communities. We believe that mutual aid is not charity, it’s a radical act of love, survival, and resistance. Together, we are building a world grounded in equity, healing, and shared power. As our capacity and resources extend, we aim to widen our reach.

We mobilize communities to care for one another. Through mutual aid, we create spaces of safety, healing, and collective power, centering those most impacted by systemic neglect.

Our Purpose:

We are living through the failure of political and economic systems.

While institutions abandon us, we turn toward each other.

Mutual aid is how we survive and thrive, together.

It’s how we reclaim safety, support, and stability.

Our goals:

Essential Aid Distribution:

Food, clothing, diapers, hygiene products, formula, and emergency supplies/drug recovery support, and cash assistance.

Healing & Health Justice:

Connect folx with maternal/infant care, reproductive health, culturally competent mental health navigation, and support from trusted physicians, practitioners, doulas etc.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming Support:

Aid access to queer and trans-affirming care, mental health resources, safe spaces, and gender-affirming supplies.

Community Healing & Educational Events:

Workshops, wellness clinics, peer-led education, and joy-centered spaces for community building.
