Dear friends, family, and compassionate animal lovers,
We need your help.
One of our beloved horses at Hills of Gold Equine Retirement Sanctuary was bitten on the nose by a rattlesnake. The injury is severe, and she’s currently receiving emergency veterinary care. Between the intensive treatments, medication and follow-up support, her medical bills are rapidly climbing — and we can’t do this alone.
Why This Horse Matters
She is more than “just a horse.” Like all of the animals at our sanctuary, she’s a treasured soul who came to us after a life of hard work and service. At Hills of Gold, we provide a peaceful, loving home for retired, elderly horses who deserve comfort, dignity, and kindness in their final years.
We specialize in caring for horses that are too old to be ridden, too injured to be adopted, or too costly for others to keep. This sanctuary is their forever home, and our team is committed to giving them the love and care they’ve always deserved.
How You Can Help
Right now, this beautiful girl needs lifesaving support. Her nose is dangerously swollen, and she’s in a lot of pain. We’re doing everything in our power to stabilize her, but the vet costs are overwhelming for a small nonprofit like ours.
Your donation — no matter the amount — will go directly to her medical care.
Here’s what your contribution could help cover:
Emergency treatment
Supportive Care
Medications, IV fluids, and pain management
Follow-up visits and recovery therapy
