Hi everyone,

My name is Lyanna Garcia, and I’m raising funds for my loving 81-year-old grandmother, Hilaria. Thirty years ago, after immigrating to the United States from the Philippines, she was diagnosed with breast cancer—and she beat it. Since then, she’s devoted her life to caring for her family, especially her three grandchildren, and sharing her incredible Filipino cooking with everyone around her.

Unfortunately, a few months ago, we received the heartbreaking news that her cancer has returned. This time, the journey has been more difficult. The chemotherapy was too harsh on her body, and her cancer antigen markers have not been improving. To make matters more difficult, her insurance isn’t covering the full cost of the treatment she needs to get better.

Because of her condition, she can no longer cook—the very thing that once helped her earn extra income and bring joy to others.

My family and I are humbly asking for any support to help ease the financial burden of her treatment and provide her with the best possible care. My grandmother is one of the most selfless people I know, always putting others first. Any amount—no matter how small—would mean the world to us and go directly toward her medical and daily living expenses.
