We found a new Store HELP us with the Repairs.

We are a nonprofit Thriftstore in copperas cove .

Our old landlord let us stay and did a tax write-off every year instead of paying rent. Than it was bought by someone from California they bought public storage and our building . We were supposed to sign a 3 year lease paying $500 each month when 2 days prior we got a certified letter to be out by the 5th of May.

We are heart broken .

We just revamped the shop.

I’m the store-manager for the Optimist thriftstore. I been there almost 8 years . My husband is retired Army 8 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and me being German and no family here and my kids grown I devoted myself to the shop so did miss Linda retired head nurse . Mary is a veteran and a single mother .

We are all Volunteers and we do not get paid . We only exist from Donations and all profit goes to the community and sick children .

Linda ,Mary and I are running the shop together because it takes a Village no one person can do it all .

We do community service and have a contract with the school teaching the kids right from wrong and to be respectful and learn from their mistakes and walk out a better person ( this generation is lacking a lot of such and more)

We give free clothes to the nurses of the schools , we give scholarships .

We give 6 new teachers a check to help in the classroom budget this year is $200 each .

We support the special - ed classes with what they need .

We give $1000 to miracle network and $2000 to st Jude .

We give coats to children of central texas and a check .

We adopted 7 families that had nothing for Christmas, tree ornaments gifts and a $250 H‑E‑B card for each family .

We help people that come from the homeless shelter and supply them with what they need .

We give $1000 to Blue Santa.

We help Families in need no matter after a fire or need of food or a water-bill as well as children sick in need.

There is a few more .

We give money but that’s not all , I’m worried about our elderly and children with disabilities that come see us every weekend .

The husbands that come in that are lost and sad because they lost the love of their life .

We talk to them hugs smiles and laughter and when they walk out they feel needed and know someone cares .

The child that can’t speak and is almost blind having to touch you to know who you are and happy not to be treated differently and looks forward every weekend to come in with her mom.

The lady’s from the senior center getting free magazines and all the crafts they can find .

The mom that comes in cause her husband is away and getting a little break from the kids and free toys .

We do so much and we do it out of the kindness of our hearts because we care about the people in this community.

Our prices do not exceed $10 most items are 50 cents - $5

If we have a high payment we have to shorten the budget and go up with prices which would not benefit the community.

We need a place with a open floor and we could pay $500 -$1000 a month .We always pay our bills and we take care of our responsibilities. We cannot find a place most empty buildings are owned by the same people and they won’t give us another building .

We don’t wanna be done yet we still want to help people .

We need help , direction, prayer . Is there something anyone could help us with ?
