Hi!

My Name is Alex. I am raising money to help support my aunt. Her health has taken a turn for the worst. She has suffered a series of strokes leaving her, as a different person. She has forgotten things and is unable to care for herself like she used to. She is blind in one eye and a part of her spirit is missing. She used to be a firey wildcard and that has since subsided. The folks she was living with (her family) are unable to provide her the care she needs because they are in poor health as well. After a recent stroke left her in the hospital, we were able to find her a charity bed at a nursing home to be rehabilitated until she was able to be self-sufficient. I am not sure if that will ever happen. She suffered a series of falls landing her back in the hospital with a fractured hip and a broken eye socket. We are at the point where she is going to be getting Medicaid and Social Security Disability, but we are playing the waiting game until her funds become available. This fundraiser will enable her to get the ongoing care she will need at a long-term facility. We are now raising money to cover one month's stay at a facility so that we can bring her home from the hospital when she is ready and transition her into a proper nursing home. Your contribution will be going towards ensuring my aunt will get the care she needs. If you are unable to give financially but can go visit her or pray for her that will also help as her spirit is very low at this time and she needs some light in her life.
