Donate to help the McLean family

Hi everyone, this is Emily.

I wanted to start this fundraiser for my dad, Chuck, who was diagnosed with bladder cancer in July of 2023. Since July, dad has been in and out of the hospital to remove as much as the tumor as possible, to remove blockages from blood clots, and to control bleeding from the part of the tumor they were unable to remove. We met with Moffitt Cancer Center and set up a treatment plan that included chemotherapy followed by bladder removal surgery. Dad received his first round of chemo in late November 2023 but his white blood cell count fell too low for him to continue. The next step was to remove the bladder completely but because of the difficulties dad has dealt with after the chemo treatment, his surgery has continued to be pushed back to deal with the other issues popping up.

We have been lucky to have most of his medical expenses covered by the VA, however, both my mom and I have not been able to work fulltime in order to take care of my dad. Not being able to work full time has really impacted us financially and it's likely we'll need to take more time off for upcoming appointments and surgery. We would greatly appreciate any amount of support you can give our family while we're going through this.
