I am creating this GoFundMe to alleviate as much unnecessary stress on my mother and family as I can. It is my dad’s wish that I make this GoFundMe so that he can rest easier knowing his family is taken care of. As many of you know my mom had been an in home daycare provider for the past 24 years which was our families main income. On top of doing daycare my mom has been raising my two youngest siblings and caring for my dad through all his many difficult health obstacles over the last many years. Including multiple weekly doctor appointments and hospital stays. My mom made the decision in September 2024 to close her doors and soley focus on caring for my dad. In November of 2024 he was diagnosed with vocal cord cancer and went through radiation that made him so sick and malnourished. He ended up beating the cancer but his body had not healed. When he went in for surgery to have a feeding tube placed the doctors found a large mass. We then found out he has adenocarcinoma cancer and it not only spread to his lymph nodes it also spread through the whole lining of his abdominal wall. We were told it is terminal with a six month life expectancy and therefore dad has been placed on hospice. This has been extremely hard on my dad as well as the whole family. While my mom is going to have to learn to navigate through her soon to be new “norm” while grieving and raising my two younger siblings she is going to need some time before getting back into work. if you are in a position to donate we would greatly appreciate any and all donations. You have no idea how much this means to my family and most importantly to my dad. We are so thankful for all the love, support, and prayers we have gotten over the last years.
