Donate to help Suthakaran's Family

Dear Neighbours,
We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Suthakaran, the much-loved manager of our local Budgens. He will be remembered for his kindness, warm smile, and ever-helpful nature.
Suthakaran was just 52 years old. He had dedicated 20 years to Budgens Grove Park, becoming a cherished part of our community. He leaves behind his wife, who works part-time at Sainsbury’s, their 14-year-old daughter, and their 12-year-old son, who is autistic.
In times like these, a close-knit community like ours can make a real difference. I spoke with his heartbroken colleagues yesterday—Upendra, the franchise owner, and Anita, the supervisor—both of whom called him "brother." When I asked if the family would be open to a fundraiser, they were deeply moved and grateful. It felt as though they wanted to help but were too proud to ask.
I will also be reaching out to Budgens HQ to see how they plan to support Suthakaran’s family. However, regardless of their involvement, I believe we can come together to provide them with an initial financial boost as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
This donation page will remain open until Sunday, May 3rd.
Every contribution, big or small, will mean the world to them. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Murat
