It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our dearest sister Elia. We are devastated by this tragedy and, simultaneously, at peace, knowing that she’s no longer suffering. Before being diagnozed with ALS plus, Elia devoted her life to helping and caring for her patients as an oncology nurse. Her kindness and compassion toward her patients knew no limits. However, Comina’s immeasurable strength was tested as she dealt with the horrors of her ALS symptoms. Yet, she never wavered. She was mentally stronger than ever for her daughters; she always had a smile. She lit up a room with that smile. The funds raised through this campaign will help support her beautiful daughters (ages 12 and 7) with this extraordinary loss.
