Hi, my name is Wilson dos Santos Gomes Monteiro, founder of Cape Verdean Masswag, and I’m fundraising for the victims of the devastating floods that hit São Vicente, Cape Verde on August 10-11, 2025.

This disaster has claimed 9 lives, left 5 people missing, and made approximately 1,500 people homeless.

As someone with strong connections to the Cape Verdean community, I’ve received numerous requests for help from people directly affected by this tragedy.

The situation is dire - homes have been destroyed, infrastructure damaged, and many families have lost everything.

Emergency shelter for displaced families

Food and clean water supplies

Medical assistance for the injured

Support for rebuilding homes and community facilities

I am working directly with local community members to ensure that 100% of funds reach those most in need.
