On August 23rd, my Uncle Russ suffered a spinal cord injury while on vacation in California. While body boarding, a wave overtook him and slammed him into the shore. He is in stable condition, alert, talking and even singing rock n roll songs to the wonderful hospital staff. My aunt and cousins are in California, by his side as much as they can.
