Rico's Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, Our names are Mary, Betty, Brittany and Tenacity. Rico Gay's sisters and nieces. Our brother has had many medical challenges throughout his life, however none compare to his current medical situation. Rico has always had a positive outlook on life when it came to his family. Rico recently lost his wife Melissa on 9/18/22. She lost the battle to cancer. Her passing left Rico in a high amount of grief as he misses her daily. Rico took on the sole responsibility in continuing to being a father to his 3 children Tyson, Peyton and Kendra. All has been going fairly well up until Monday morning, 9/11/22. We received a devastating call that Rico was found unconscious and not breathing. Rico's heart stopped. His son Tyson was preparing for school and went in the room to say goodbye to his father for the day. Rico was laying on the side of the bed lifeless. EMT shocked his heart with limited success during the transport to the hospital. The hospital made attempts to stabilize him. They haven't been successful to where he is able to breathe on his own. They got his pulse, blood pressure and organ functions working through the ventilator. Rico is currently on life support and it there aren't any signs of progress at the time that he will return with full function. We are uncertain that his brain and organs haven't sustained injury from the duration of time he went without oxygen and the lack of heart beat with blood flow.
We are asking for your assistance in donation at the time.
Rico has 3 children who he loves very much. There are unpaid upcoming bills, medical expenses and necessities that are needed within the household as Rico is the sole provider in the home. His family financially supports as much as possible, but during these unforeseen times we need friends, family, and kind dear hearts to donate any amount your heart desires. This will ensure that the rent is paid, utilities remain on, car note is paid, food is provided and other necessary amenities needed for his children.
We will keep you posted with updates during the upcoming days. Please keep Rico in your prayers and his family in your hearts
God bless everyone
