Shawnee Rescue Mission AC‘s must be replaced!

Unhoused people are at an increased risk of death during heatwaves. When hot and dehydrated, people can experience heat exhaustion, heat stroke, worsening chronic conditions (like diabetes), and death. In fact, heat is the leading weather-related cause of death, beating out tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods.

Shawnee Rescue Mission helps provide people experiencing homelessness a safe and cool place out of the sun and provides access life’s most basic necessities.

Both our air conditioning units have gone out this year , they are both over 20 years old and cannot be fixed and must be replaced.

$18,000 Total Needed ($9,000 each)

Shawnee Rescue Mission is a faith based, all volunteer ministry that receives no state or government funding. It's completely funded by local donations. We need your help! We are 501c nonprofit and your gift is tax deductible.
