Support the Mummy Boxes Project
After becoming a mother I realised how much even a small amount of support can mean…
So I’m launching a charity project to support mothers and fathers who are struggling—whether emotionally, financially, or simply overwhelmed by the early days of parenthood.
We create care packages filled with baby essentials, hygiene items, and small comforts to remind these parents that they are seen, supported, and not alone.
⸻
You can help in 2 ways:
1. Donate items (Sadaqah in kind)
If you have items to give, please send them in! Here’s what we are collecting:
• New or barely used baby clothes (in excellent condition)
• Breastfeeding support items (e.g. breast pads, nipple cream, nursing covers, unused/sterilised bottles)
• Postpartum care for mums (e.g. maternity pads, soft socks, self-care items, du’a cards)
• General baby essentials (e.g. unopened wipes, nappies, baby creams, dummies, muslins, etc.)
• Supportive items for dads (optional but welcome – like prayer reminders, snack bars, or useful practical items)
All donated items will be carefully sorted by me, and the care packages will be built based on each family’s situation. For example, a baby born in summer will receive appropriate seasonal clothes and essentials. If a family is in emotional hardship, they may receive additional comfort items and uplifting support.
2. Donate to the GoFundMe
If you can’t give items, donating even £1 can help immensely. Funds raised will cover:
• Postage & delivery of care packages
• Packaging supplies – boxes, tissue, tape, labels, etc.
• Filling any missing items for complete, meaningful boxes
• ️ Storage and organisational supplies (if needed long term)
⸻
This is a beautiful chance to give sadaqah jariyah by supporting both parents and their baby in a difficult time
If you can’t donate right now, please keep this project in your du’a – that Allah allows it to reach the parents most in need, and makes it a source of ongoing reward for all involved.
