Hi, My name is Valentina.
I am here to raise funds for Project Compassion to do my part in helping vulnerable communities around the world.
Caritas Australia is a Catholic international aid and development organisation that works to fight poverty and injustice around the world. They support vulnerable communities by improving access to education, clean water, healthcare, food security, and sustainable livelihoods.
Project Compassion is Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten fundraising campaign. It raises money to support life-changing programs that empower people to break the cycle of poverty and build brighter, more sustainable futures for themselves and their communities.
If my goal of $5000 is reached, this money will help provide the following:
- 12 x $25 Hygiene kits for people in rural Tanzania. Including water bucket, soaps, water scoop, bath towel and nail clippers.
- 3 x $100 Can support start-up livelihood opportunities for youth and women with disabilities in Fiji
- 12 x $22 Can provide maternity, nutrition and child health learning sessions for rural women in Bangladesh
- 5 x $84 Can support local community groups in Bangladesh to learn about climate change and disasters and create their own emergency plans.
- 1 x $500 Can provide a community emergency kit with radios, first aid, torches and safety gear to help families stay safe in Fiji during disasters.
- 3 x $172 Can deliver skilled development training for rural midwives and updates skill sessions for traditional birth attendants in Bangladesh.
- 1 x $2000 Can build two water collection points in rural Tanzania, providing safe drinking water for 800+ people.
- 5 x $140 Can help buy a set of tools such as a garden fork, spade and shovel for farmers in Fiji
Every dollar raised will go towards creating real, lasting change for families who deserve safety, opportunity and hope. From clean water in Tanzania, to supporting mothers in Bangladesh, to empowering communities in Fiji and much more . This is my way of trying to make a difference in the world, and I would love for you all to be part of it with me.
