Donate to help Paul & Carol get by

Those of you who know Paul and Carol are aware of how difficult they have had it over the past few years. For those of you who don't, I will share some of their story with you to explain why I have started this Go Fund Me.

In 2013 Paul was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer, to which he undertook extensive chemotherapy and beat the odds, in 2017 he was diagnosed with liver cancer and liver failure, he had surgery to remove part of his liver and after months of recovery was able to bounce back. Paul and Carol run a Greek food trailer business which they absolutely love and are very passionate about serving good food to the community. However after many health concerns with Paul, and Carol having hip surgery they were often struggling to stay on their feet. After Paul had recovered from his liver surgery they were able to get back to doing what they love.. and then came the 2019 bushfires in Mallacoota. Unfortunately, their family home of 15 years burnt down, along with their food trailer which was their livelihood. Now as awful as this all sounds, Paul and Carol have never given up, and always remained positive and selfless.

They ended up finding their feet again in late 2020, with a brand-new food trailer and a roof over their heads. They then decided in 2022, it was time to fly the nest of Mallacoota and move closer to family in Melbourne. They landed in a small town called Tynong which suits them perfectly. They started dishing up their delicious food for the community of Tynong to enjoy and had a steady income. Unfortunately, Paul recently began to feel unwell and had to attend hospital, this is where they found a mass in Paul's liver, one that has metastasised throughout his body and he has sadly been given a terminal diagnosis. This has completely rocked our family to pieces, as you can imagine. We all love our Pauly so damn much. Paul being the strong and amazing man that he is has remained incredibly positive and is always going to keep fighting. Given this, and the fact Carol is on the waitlist for a new hip, they are unable to work and are struggling to make ends meet.

Now if you know Paul and Carol, they will never ask for help and will only ever give help. In fact, I can't see them being too stoked when they find out I have made this for them but I believe it is time for them to sit back and let us take care of them.
