My name is Elliott Lesser and Palumbo Recreation Center is my favorite place to play basketball. Palumbo is part of the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department and it is run by Brian Conti. The city gives each recreation center some money and supplies but not enough to pay for all the things they need. For my Bar Mitzvah project, I would like to raise money to help Palumbo replace the basketball rims in the gym. They are not easy to play on and make for a brutal shooting experience for players. Palumbo is a key part of our community and I think it's especially important for everyone to have access to good equipment.
