Hi, I’m looking to help raise funds to support my dad’s business whilst he has been un able to work due to having his kidney removed after a large tumour was discovered. Luckily the tumour has been successfully removed along with the kidney. However, because of the size of the tumour, a keyhole surgery was not possible. This has meant a much more invasive operation with a much longer recovery time. Noel has been a part of the sewing community for decades, he has quite literally worked every day of his life since a teenager! You’ll likely have gotten to know Noel either in store or online as of recently and you’ll have seen how passionate he is about all things sewing. His first question when told about the Tumor was ‘when can I get back to work?’ Much to his dismay, he was told possibly after three months, sooner if he feels up to it. This has put intense pressure on Noel, he is a sole trader and there is no sick pay or help when someone who is self employed has to go off sick.. or in Noel’s case for a very big operation. I know that locally you’ve all loved Noel’s advice and guidance on sewing machines and he’s made such a lovely impression online with you all too! I kindly ask that to ease the extreme and stress on Noel financially whilst he’s recovering to donate whatever you can to help keep his business alive whilst he’s un able to physically be there - it would mean the world to Noel. Although he would never ask for help himself, I feel that right now this would seriously help his recovery, to know that some business finances and debts can be taken care of whilst he’s recovers at home, he deserves a true break.
